New Mexico Credit Union Foundation Announces New Board Member and 2026-2027 Board Leadership

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (August 5, 2026) — The Credit Union Foundation of New Mexico is pleased to announce the election of a new member to its Board of Directors and the appointment of its Board Officers for the coming year. 

Joining the Foundation Board is Andy Ramos, President and CEO of State Employees Credit Union. Ramos brings years of leadership experience and a deep commitment to serving New Mexico communities through the credit union philosophy of people helping people. The Foundation also announced its newly elected Board Officers: Karen Griffo, President and CEO of Roswell Community Federal Credit Union, who will serve as Chair; Rebecca Isaacs, AVP of Community Relations at Nusenda Credit Union, who will serve as Vice Chair; and Donald Sarich, President and CEO of Northern New Mexico School Employees Federal Credit Union, who will serve as Secretary/Treasurer. 

Together with the Foundation's remaining board members, Lily Currin of Sunward, Stuart Johnston of Artesia Credit Union, and Nelson Medina of Guadalupe Credit Union, this leadership team will help guide the Foundation's mission of strengthening credit unions in New Mexico through collaborative opportunities.  The Foundation supports financial well-being, professional development, financial education, and credit union-led community impact initiatives across the state. 

"We're excited to welcome Andy to the Foundation Board," said Melia Heimbuck, President and CEO of the Credit Union Association of New Mexico and Managing Director of the Credit Union Foundation of New Mexico. "Each of our Foundation leaders brings a unique perspective, a passion for service, and a deep commitment to the credit union movement. I'm looking forward to working alongside them as we continue expanding the Foundation's impact throughout New Mexico."

The Credit Union Foundation of New Mexico is the charitable arm of the Credit Union Association of New Mexico. Through scholarships, professional development, financial education, and community partnerships, the Foundation works to advance the credit union mission of improving financial well-being for all New Mexicans. ​
